Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose. NIV

A friend of mine lost his father a few years ago. While looking for a sympathy card, I found a card that talked about the tapestry of life. Basically, it talked about the different situations in our life. Joyful times, times of crisis, times of sadness, and times of confusion. The list can go on and on.

The author of the poem says that through it all, our Lord is weaving the tapestry of our life. As the observer is watching Him from the back of the tapestry all they see is knots and threads and colors blending together. It looks a mess. At the end of our lives He shows us the tapestry of our life. The tapestry itself is actually beautiful.

As difficult as life may seem at times it may seem that our lives are miserable. Remember the tapestry and that somehow God is working all things to the good. I am so grateful to know that in the midst of it all He is with us.

Do not fear for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name and you are Mine! When you pass through the waters I will be with you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched. Nor will the flame burn you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy one of Israel, your Savior." - Isaiah 43:1b-3
