MEN'S PRAYER MOMENTS – THE CALL TO PRAYER!
1 TIM 2:8 (TEV) "In every church service, I want the men to pray, men who are dedicated to God and can lift up their hands in prayer without anger or argument."
GAL 6:2 (TEV) "Help carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will obey the law of Christ."
ROM 8:26, 27(TEV) "In the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express. And God, who sees into our hearts, knows what the thought of the Spirit is; because the Spirit pleads with God on behalf of his people and in accordance with his will."
JUDE 1:20 (TEV) "But you, my friends, keep on building yourselves up on your most sacred faith. Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and keep yourselves in the love of God, as you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life."
1 THESS 5:16,17 (TEV) "Be joyful always. Pray at all times, be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus."
Brothers in Christ, these are only some of the verses in the New Testament that call us to a continuous prayer life, even when we don't know in our human weakness how to express such prayers. We are also called to pray for those who suffer and so put to use the healing hand of God's Holy Spirit.
As this new season of life demonstrates God's renewal of the earth, let us seek a renewal of our prayer life for each other. |
